I like the Odyssey but the $400 per battery is tough to swallow!
I have been running the walmart marine deep cycle batterys for about ten years now and have never had any problems. Just picked up two new ones today 750 cranking amps for $81.67
Have ran the optimum battery's think they are pretty good.
Ive started putting in Interstate in all my cars/boat/ company trucks. Never had any good luck with Optima.
Pretty funny I buy optima batteries from interstate must not be to bad.

20 years ago when I sold batteries, I wouldn't have used an Exide in an enemy's lawn mower, and I swore by Johnson Controls. Things change. Now I use Exide Nautiluses due to price and availability. I can't speak to their longevity as I haven't kept a boat for more than 2 seasons in a long time, but I haven't had any duds, corrosion issues, or starting issues. If time and money were no object and I knew I was keeping the boat for years, I'd probably make the effort to locate an East Penn/Deka, but they closed my local NAPA.

I sell batteries, and have had good luck with the Exide Edge AGM batteries in boats, and they have a great warranty.

I have spent a lot of money on Oddesy, Optima, custom 16v batteries, they all have not impressed me. Go buy any decent Marine battery dont waste your money.
