I believe way back when, considering his tough to move boat, was low 240 I and mid 240 exhaust.....I'll have to look back at that thread again as I don't remember exactly what I said then. Give me a few.

Duration wise, yes.

I was actually in agreement with the below quote which was on 1st or 2nd page pre build) and thus only replied to his other cam comments later when he thought at the time his 241 at .050" (post build) was too big.

Edit in: I would have not agreed with the 'used' part of it though. I personally don't like the idea of used valvetrain pieces.

As of now looking at 242/[email protected] 112 LSA .630 lift... I can get 2 used in good shape, made 690 hp with AFR heads.

So, what do you say I should have now? Just curious because you were way off before... yes I thought maybe it was too big back then, I thought it wasn't pulling up too to get rpm range and it wasn't, but turns out from being too small I learned along since then, all 5 cam guys said wtf is there a 241/246 in a 540 with afr heads for? That's a 509 ci cam not a 540, I'm sure crane, billet cams, Erson, crower, cam motion, comp, and joe, are all stupid and you know what I need.

Just curious.
I believe I've always said it was to small duration and would have gone in the mid 250's w/ 8° split min.kinda like what I ran in my 454's.

ignition system was simple small cap hei and truck coil.I told him to ask for 93 gmc 350 truck parts at napa.
