Basically anyone running a magnetic trigger, and thinks they have xxx timing at 6000rpm, may certainly not. That goes back to my point about running the engine on the dyno. Give the engine what it likes, and forget about the number of what you "think"it should be. You may think you have 34 deg, and only have 30deg at 6000.
What ignition box were you using apache? What did you find for the best timing setting on the dyno?

The 7AL has an adjustable feature to compensate for the magnetic pickup doesnt it? Never used one.

I'd probably wanna program mine for 8 deg at idle though. The ****ty idle and dry pipes is fine by me. Lol...

What's a good set up to go with. MT sent me what he's had good luck with however I lost the info. Just looking for simplicity, trouble free and cost effective ingnition?

Think they are all good pretty basic set ups. I would go with flying magnet type. They all seam to do the same thing you can look into ones with weather pack connectors.

Davis Unified Ignition is one of the simplest if that's what you're looking for!
