I tried to tell frick 2 years ago to get away from dean. Pretty sure he just thought I was an A-hole.

he was already invested... that's what sucks... just saying... professionals can have issues too... Dean built 1500's for Freds boat... turn key every weekend... then things like Justin happen..

We all have our guys and some "professionals" will give vastly different opinions on how to do things. I've just seen way too much BS from that shop. On a side note, I can be kind of an A-hole about things at times, but I was seriously trying to help frick when dean blew up the first engine on the dyno because of "bad bearings". |
I get it, I been there myself, once buried its hard to start over.... like me with Bob... all the Bob crap started surfacing when I had issues the first time...now I am yet faced with the seat thing, maybe blower engines it's more of an issue? maybe not? due to more heat..? or is it ALL heads? only AFR? does Dart and Edelbrock use same seats? I am going to have 11,000.00 into NEW heads by the time I am done, wanna talk about UPSETTING??? this is now 3rd time redoing NEW heads in 65 HOURS!!! OMG I am so pizzed

Never in my life have I seen so many problems in any single build with supposed high quality parts.... my slapped together Chinese engines were better so far.... less issues with them....

Those seats Joe posted are from pretty powerful blown engine, Not sure how much $$ is involved in replacing seats but if it`s significant I`d leave it alone. It`s a 600 hp motor not 1000hp blown deal
|
My na engines at a 4000rpm Cruz would ware the seats enoug let off the throttle and it would have a mis from valve not closing. That was 60 mile run. Pulled valve covers and no lash.

Call afr tell them your seat problem they will tell you they never had a problem lol. And ask me how I know that. Bin there before. They will do the labor cheep. Call them.
