MT just curious what props your currently running? I was amazed with endeavour32's labbed props in comparison to mine. With all the prop testing I did for years I never had the opportunity of trying out or owning labbed props. Back in the day my idea of labbed was a nice file working the leading edge back about 3/8"-1/2" or so. Was always good for a couple hundred rpm when between pitch. Lol.. If I'm not mistaking I think mike picked up over 2 or 3 mph from non labbed to labbed. I was very impressed with the feel/looks as well as performance.

They are old Mercury 17x28 four blade cleavers. Pretty thick blades still compared to some I've seen that have been labbed. I'm sure there is some more speed with some modern CNC propellors, but they are dam expensive for the SSM stuff. I really like the way the boat handles with the current props. I tried some 16.5x28 five blades years back, when I had less HP, and they seemed like too much stern lift, and almost a slight chine walk with them. Next year I'd like to try and find some 30's or 31s on it.

Understand completely. My 28 challenger I really liked the old school 3 & 4 blade intimidators. I lost little speed vs rpm at cruising speeds but handling and top speed more than compensated for what little loss of fuel consumption I perhaps had. They pulled hard also.

89mph, missed my goal this year by 1 mph but maybe it`s 89.9 mph ...or 89.01 ... I don`t have a fancy GPS like Joe with all kinds of fancy decimal points and stuff.
She`d go a bit faster in some Cig water. which the River of the Ozarks isn`t. She likes about a 3` chop to loosen her fata$$ up, get some air under that hull.
