Question hydraulic steering question

i currently have an imco dual ram system at the stern and cable from the helm. i have been told that a hyd helm is really better /safer on a 100mph cat and should consider it. i currently have trim control on my steering wheel and really like it. i think there is a helm setup that will alllow me to keep the steering wheel trim but in a conversation i was recently told that hyd helms do not "return to center" the way a cable systen does and that the steering wheel might not be "aligned" (ie trim switches at 10 o'clock and two o'clock position) when going straight...is this true????

thanks

gary

Default steering

gary unfortunatly you are correct. wheel won't always retunn to same pos. you can use side mount , it will mount at 3 or 9 o'clock (they also have a dual). they resonable and easy to install. pro trim by teleflex
