final pulls were at 12.0 to 13.2 acrossed all 8 cylinders, would have shown about a 12.5/12.6 tailpipe average. Might have made a few hp.more at 13.0/ 13.2 average but since it would be too lean for in boat and this was to establish baseline hp i didnt chase it. Afrs thru lower peak tq were in low 13's dropping to mid 12s, in past i found a little more tq by fattening tq peak up to low to mod 12s, again, didnt chase it since im retuning it anyways w blower

Impressive. Did you bother to bore notch the cylinders? Do you have to re-tune it after the whipple is installed?

Thanks!

Have you done any back to back testing of the TPIS TB vs the stock one? They look identical with the exception of the stock one is like 63 or 65 mm.

What Kehien injectors (size and model)? Sorry for all the questions....

stock 42 lb keihan 454/502 injectors (early mefi used)
a stock tb is twin 60.mm, the tpis is twin 68mm. Years ago i had 3 of them bored to twin 65 mm, in back to back dyno testing on a 540 i saw 12 hp or so, then more yet w the twin 68. i did extensive testing two years ago on a mildly modded 502 mpi,i dont remember the exact numbers but i tried 3 different tbdl's and a ton of flame arrestors, I posted all the results on here too.
the tpis tb is actually bigger than stock plenum opening, first time i tried running one i didnt bother to port the plenum and it created problems. Heres pic of one modded 90% of way for the 68 mm tb, i had roughed this one in and still had to pretty it up.
I didn't open up my cutomers 454 plenums for the tb test since i wanted the plenum as intact as possible when we hang the ehipple sidemounts on so i whittled up a spare 502 plenum

Smitty, on the phone yesterday I forgot to ask you what octane are you dynoing? I run 89, but I use to run 87 in my Panther with my current builds. Going to do a 50/50 mix next fill up.

How will the extra injectors get driven? Why not just use the 8 there? To small?

The side mount is the 2.3?

i flowed and cleaned the stock keihans, prob not enough injector there for the hp of motor w blower. Talking to eddie young and based on another one i tuned on a hp 500 (2.3 sidemount) he told me the extra injectors will help cool the rotors and seal them and thats how he has had reliable results. As far as driving them, i bought ev-1 style injector plugs and im going to tie them into each batch and fire 5 and 5. I have to extend the tps wiring and iac wiring anyways so not too bad of a job.
