Default Merc 525 EFI Whipple build

Upgrading my 525 EFI with a Whipple KIT i noticed a spot of rust on the camshaft. So I want to change it.... problem is buying a new one, it’s absolutly a jungle. Anyone have any recomondations as to wich cam to buy, and what else that would be wise to change now that I am at it?

Engine has zero hours. Rust is on face that hits one lifter. Engine is ‘03 so pulling heads to upgrade to Cometic gaskets.

Any competent machine shop can polish surface rust off of that camshaft.

I'll pay for shipping if you dont want to use it tho

** EDIT ** Just saw that your in Norway. Shipping could get expensive

You have zero hours on a 2003 525 ?? you can use the Felpro PermaTorque MLS gasket a little cheaper than cometic

Well......then you don't need lifters or springs , but I would test the springs before you put it together

I just built a pair of these, going in the boat in a couple weeks
