Default Setting water dumps.

Good morning, I’m questioning my test setup for water dumps. 3/4" Hardin Water psi reliefs. I turned in the dumps to full stiff, then I turned them out until I saw my target of 20psi on the gauge. Does that make sense? In my mind the slightly suspect element of this is the dumps are adjustable 7-25 psi but I'm basically in the middle of the range in terms of turns out from spring tension.
Thanks in advance for the advise.

I wonder if it would change if the gauge we on the 90 and the feed was straight through?

hhmm, interesting. Maybe I’ll give it a go. Their still sitting there from last nights test.. Thanks. If for nothing else it’ll perhaps validate my findings. I would think it’ll the same.
