Well I originally sealed them with 4200 and they worked well. Was hoping they would fit the new pump but I have to again seal them with 4200 and teflon tape. 10 years later I can't very well ask for the proper fittings. Anyway my main point is that I had to replace what is advertised as a "lifetime" pump.

I have a Jabsco brass pump that I installed about ten years a go. It takes a stock merc impeller. It has worked perfect.
