I have contacted Konrad to see if they still support the Bravo ACE drive extension. The wife will just not accept the Arnesons.
Sounds like it's time for another wife!! 😁

LOL!!!! Im glad she does not have any interest for this site!!!!! I have been hinting that the Konrads will take forever to get made. I am wondering if I extend the rear swim platform? How far our from the transom do the Arnersons extend?

you will lose mph with those Konrad drives. Ive seen up to 5-10 mph loss... As for the Arnesons on a 47. The prop nut just about lines up with the rub rail at the swim platform. You will also gain about 4-6 mph over the Bravo but will spend a lot more money on custom props. But it will look awesome and though a rooster tail

I had covers made for my props on my arnesons when we are swimming of the back so it is like out of sight out of mind

I did look at the Arneson option pretty hard, but the CFO was clear that she did not want pointy things that close to her or the grand-kids....

I have had discussions with Konad and their ACE drive conversions. They allow you to bolt an extension box, tranny and one of their drives directly to a bravo transom assembly without having to remove the engines. I like the Konrads for their brute strength, but techs are few and far between. If I cant keep my bravos on the water, then I'll just have to get the CFO to see the value of such an upgrade to the konrads....At least that is my plan! Or maybe I am a bit crazy.....

As always, thanks for the valuable feedback.

isnt there a prop guard for the arnisons that will help the cfo see the light? the konrads are said to be fragil as well and your propbably saving any $ in comparisons to the arnisons. seems that people who have spent there $ and are telling you that theyv been there, bought the shirt and loved it and your saying i think a step back will be better isnt so wise.

Wise words for sure. I have started a conversation with Rik Wimp at Areneson. I have shown the wife Joes pics, and I have some of the previous pics I saved when I was looking at his boat previously. I think maybe the guards are the trick here. And maybe a swim deck extension. The cost is about the same between the two options but the Arenesons have better, well everything. So again, thanks to all for your help! The goal now is to convince the wife.....

I have had no dealings with Rik, but do a search on Rik before you send him any money. There were a few bad transactions with him. Searching will reveal it.

Yes there is! Rik is sending pictures. I think Im really close here to getting the wife into the Arnesons. The guards might be all I need to push her pas her fears.

Anybody need a set of XZ 1.25 shafts, and brand new transom assemblies?

Again, thanks to all for your welcome and helpful feedback!
