Default 2nd time here we go again clanking ticking noise after engine shut down

Hi again. Its been 6 years since my last post on the noise after engine shut down. Back then changing the steel rockers with the roller tips back to stock stamped steel seemed to make the off engine noise go away. In October 2019 I winterized the boat and in 2020 I didn't use the boat due to covid-19. I started in up in April 2020 and heard a few tick sounds after I shut off the engine off, Even though I was not using the boat I started it up weekly anyway. I then winterized it in September 2020. This year unfortunately I had some health issues so again the boat wasn't used .I started it up in may 2021 and the noises got a bit louder after shut down. I started it up weekly even though I wasn't using it. I decided to add an engine treatment to the oil. A treatment that says it loosens up sticky lifters etc. etc. Made by Rislone. I also just rebuilt both Holley carbs. I started the engines and they ran so smooth.. Revved them up a few times and no issues with that .but the noise after shutdown just got really bad. Please see attached videos. Any input on my ongoing issues will be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance, Fountain35

sounds like the exhaust is over heating, you need to shoot it with a temp gun

Does it do the same thing in the water? Have you tried shutting the hose off a second before shutting the engine off?

Like previous said the boat hasn't been in the water for a few years and I've been running it weekly on the garden hose BTW this is both engines making this noise not just the one

This noise happens immediately no engine warm up needed I'm going to take a valve cover off start it up for 1 minute shut it off and put my hand on the rockers and see if I feel anything moving. I have double valve springs with a damper maybe during hydraulic lifter bleed off it's bleeding off faster than normal and it's snapping the valves to close fast
Possibly bad lifters? It seems like the noise got worse after I added the engine treatment that apparently thinned out the oil

hmmmm....really DOES sound like little steam pops, maybe...like water drops hitting a hot surface?
I guess I must be totally missing how this sound could be related to anything in the valve train...with the engine not running...
