Default What engine is this?

Has 5.7 stamped in the block and a 4 bbl Rochester on top of a Volvo penta intake manifold. No serial number can be found anywhere visible. I haven’t seen non groves valve covers with 4 center bolts when doing a search.

Pictures might help id it ? Not sure about Volvo but Mercruiser usually has a tag riveted to the block somewhere down near the starter. It might also be a custom built engine. Are the valve covers aluminum or stamped steel ?

Joe,
Not sure if those pictures will help or not unless somebody recognizes the valve covers. The number on the intake is simply the intake manifold casting number. And . . . . you need to get rid of that fuel system asap

Those look like early-mid 90s Chevy LT1/LT4 valve covers, Corvette variant.

Bolt pattern is same as any other center bolt small block chevy from late 80s-on.

Anything to get rid of those rubber hoses and the plastic fuel filter. The Coast Guard would probably have a field day with that. I imagine the best thing would be the factory metal line. Does it have the mechanical fuel pump or is it electric ?
