I assume they will still be fully cooled to my understanding but just no water meeting exhaust anymore just getting dumped overboard after passing through riser

she’s in freshwater 99.9% of the time now. She might see salt this year once maybe if I make it down or get her straightened out this season!

im trying to figure out if I want to go out the side or out the back of the transom somewhere I’m thinking of individual dumps for each pipe but still unsure. What’s a safe hose size? Hole size ? Etc etc etc SM don’t t give me much info

truthfully no. But I’m scared spending this 10k just to have the same dang issue

As you have told me before, this boat is a long time keeper, if it was me Id somehow get through this season with as minimal expense as possible, then in the off season plug the trs holes and recut it for the bravo tails which should have been done at the time of the conversion.....jmo

Some tails have the water exit on the outboard side of the transom. Just need to make sure you can clear the bung through the exh hole.

You could extend the tails, making them longer. Inside tube right away, and see how that helps out.

The dams getting repaired would also help.

Can someone explain how this is done? Extending the inner pipe? Do you slip a piece in past the water outlet and then start tack welding it in and let the water flow out past the extension? Any pics of this? Sorry 87 for cutting in on your post.

I'm running dry to tip on my Scarab. The inside pipes were extended to the transom to prevent reversion, currently not running flappers or mufflers. Can still hold a conversation on the boat without yelling and its not super obnoxious around the docks. Luckily where I'm at there are no noise ordinances and the marina I'm at doesn't really care. Dry to tip is more forgiving than dry pipes. If you're worried about it, run mufflers.

As Franks292 mentioned, the inner stainless pipe that flows and contains the exh is extended. It would need to welded. A few options on how to do that depending on how the riser terminates. Easiest is if the inner is already a few inches longer.

^^^^^ I would assume a small weld bead where the extension is welded would not cause the exhaust to do weird things? I mean you are talking a 3" pipe per side.
