KAAMA,
The numbers are dyno#'s.

Intake:brodix hv2000 if that makes any sense.
The heads were ported by the engine builder.NOT sure how much work they really have. thanks KAAMA.

Well,
If you want to lose some reliablity and have to work on it more you can switch to a solid roller and spin the motor a little higher.
I'm sure you could get another 75-80hp.

Will,
There was a boat in the area (Apache Warrior). He was running 572's and was making about 750 HP. He was runing Aluminum Heads, Solid rollers, and a tunnel ram intake. A friend of mine built the motors, not sure on the specs though.
Point is, you should be making much more power. I can make that much power with a 502 with off the shelf parts.

How would you make your 640hp 502 ?
I know what it took to make 625hp out of a 502 with 8.51cr .

From my experience on a friends 502 with Iron Oval Port Merlin Heads, and a .634 cam made over 600hp. Switching over to a good aluminum head and a little bigger cam and i guarantee it would be right up there.
All you need to do is turn more rpms and you will get the power you want. Although I would not recommend this with a stock bottom end it can and has been done.

That is pretty much how I did it, but my Merlins where ported and it took a solid roller and on the dyno with 87 octane at 5800rpm it made 625hp
I don't consider ported Merlins and a solid roller "off the shelf"
My current 540 is making close to 700hp but it took a solid roller to do it and that has caused some issues (lifter breakage)
