Just replaced both drive couplers in the 32' Fever I bought 2 months ago.
It is safe to say that anything else will be a peice of cake. I think that half of the cost of these boats are just to cover the labor of installing and aligning twin side by side engines.
How do the manufactures do this when building without getting a full day just in this operation alone?

US1,
Congrats on your new toy. I don't think the mfgrs. go to great lengths on the alignment. My 27 was way off with the factory alignment, the coupling failed around 100 hrs. Even though I had warrantee for this, I decided to fix it myself. I ended up machining new angle mounting plates because the holes had to be slotted about 3/16" to get the alignment right. I also machined my own alignment tool. I think the builders should fabricate an accurate fixture/jig simulating engine mtg and crank centerline to properly locate these holes. Anyway, keep us posted with pics and info.

US1,
Usually , the engines are installed before the
top deck, interior, etc. are installed.
There's alot more room to get at things when
your just dealing with the bare hull.
p.s. , as Slick Willie once said, " I feel your pain"

Mark,
no good pictures yet, just dealer ad pics. Hope to get it wet this weekend, weather providing.
Tim,
I used SS fender washers. The top of the mounts would touch, but there was 1/8" gap at the bottom. So when I tightened all the bolts, the bottom would pull in tight and lift the rear of the motor up. Life is good now!
Haven't really checked brakes. All towing has been thru town, so will always be warm. I did turn over the hitch and level trailer thou.
Did Tammy mention that when I was checking trailer out after picking it up, one axle didn't have the u-bolts tight? Over 1/2" slop. Imagine that axle was bouncing all over the place. Eagle did send mme new u-bolts as the threads were messed up from moving around.
Thanks for everything.
