Bennitt Ditgital Tab Indicators
#4
I had a set of those on my Formula. Continuous problems. Most unreliable pieces of s**t . Bennett was great about sending replacement parts, but the system was not rugged enough to handle the combination of speed and rough water. The Formula would handle it great, but next thing I knew the Bennett indicators were f###ed again. Is it fixable? Absolutely. You will probably end up, replacing either the indicator in the trim cylinder, which requires re-wiring back to CPU, or the CPU itself. I went thru (2)CPU's, and at least a pair of indicators. In discussions with Bennett tech's, they indicated that the system was more oriented to cruisers, and probably never even tested at speeds over 60 MPH. I couldn't pin them down, as to cause. I can only speculate that it was the shock of re-entry that was wrecking havoc. The Bennett tabs are a great product and the company is great about sending parts, but you can't fix a bad design. You may want to consider looking at Gaffrig's mechanical systems for the Bennetts.

I have to agree with 32storm. Mine havent been very reliable either. I continually have the flashing indicator thing and have to recalibrate. I have even run a dedicated shielded power line right from the batteries. Didnt help. Im gonna try a big capacitor to filter the line next.
