Thumbs up Thanks Curt

I just didnt know if the increase of the HP and torque would make a shower worth the price.

I found a 93 Sea Ray that's an insurance job. The boat came off the trailor & it busted the bottom up really bad but the motor & drive is fine. I might just buy it ($900.00) & strip it. Its got the 350 w/ the alpha drive & the trailor is in good shape. Needs a fender but thats cheap enough to fix. Probably save me a lot of money in the long run.

Curt hows everyone been? I havn't see you guys on the lake this year. I hope Miss Martha is well.

Tommy it sounds like there may be a downside to this that your holding back. If I'm making a mistake please let me know. I have also looked into getting a setback bracket and pulling the I/O & going for an OB.

I know I'd have to reglass the transom etc. But I've done that before. I just figured swaping to a v8 would be less expensive & better overall.

Mike
downside...
1.I am 16 and $ is hard to come by
2. Gas
3. Weight. My 175 V6 will run right next to the 350 with 240 hp in the same boat.

With 1/2 tank and 1-2' I run 45.0 on Garmin at 4900. I think that is somewhere around 7" slip....not bad eh?

Well I'm not majorly concerend with speed as this is the wifes toy. I'm just tring to get it to perform like I think it should. I have a 17'vector with OMC power that takes care of my need for speed when it pops up.

Thanks for al the help guys
