My oil temp is reading between 230 and 260 at cruise speeds. I think this is a little high. My water temp runs between 125 and 140. It use to be between 110 and 125. I have a Whipple charged 502 mpi. I was going to start by changing the water pump first and then go from there.

I know I don't have a T-stat in with the Whipple on the engine.

I could sure use some suggestions on what to check. The next step is to go with a heavy duty oil cooler or something.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Is that temperature being measured in the oil pan?
