Default Loud Exhaust

I was wondering what all could be done to make the exhaust louder on my 97 Hammer. Anything cheap and possibly something I can do myself would be what I'm looking for

Look inside the exhaust, you'll see that there is a plate tack welded in (4) places to reduce the exhaust noise. If you can, remove the plates carefully. . . open headers!!! Sounds awesome.

Or, pull the flappers off and hole saw the plates out. Put the flappers back on though for water reversion protection!!

Pantera24-650HP - thats what I'm looking for my friend. I see the plate you are talking about...question is how would you recommend doing it? Sounds like you have experience doing it. I know I'll tear something up...so any suggestions will help

How about a set of "pulling truck" headers that point straight up out of the hatch?

I might end up doing that. More then likely it'll be too much of a pain to knock out the plate.....$145 is not too bad...plus the tips will look sweet. Any idea where you guys picked up the tips?

i saw tredwell motor sports had some for sale in the class, The last set were from cp performance . shop around some of the dealers in hot Boat and Powerboat. make sure they have the rebuildible flappers inside.do a search on tips , you might find someone that just put headers on . make sure on size.
