I have a stock 33' AVS with twin 502's. The local govenment is cracking down on the noise law. At idel I put 96db's on their meter and need to be below 90db's.
Any ideas for me? I am new to the boating world so any help would be appricated. One told me about muffle type tip???
The option to put the exhaust through the outdrive is there but costly and unappealing.

Welcome to the club, I got busted last year by the DNR and they were total ****s about it. I just installed slip in baffles from CP Performance.. Easy to install and they claim a reduction up to 10 db's. Even with the slip in's my boat still sounds cool. Here you go... I have p/n 410-284401. The web site is: www.cpperformance.com

From: Manito, IL, but boat at Lake of the Ozarks
I tell ya what, the one thing you need to learn is when to hammer the boat and when not too. The one thing that gets a lot of guys i trouble is when they leave the dock or ramp. They hammer down to impress the Ladys' and Johnny Law is settn' close by. Just learn when to go crazy, don't make yourself stand out of the crowd, too much. Hell your already in a Scarab that's standing out already so now just watch when to and not too and keep the boat just like it is. Oh also tell Johnny Law that You now me, that will help too..........mabey I wouldn't do that!

All this noice ordinace crap makes me sick. Almost as sick about the fuel prices.
