Thanks, we are in Booth #13133. What Booth # are you?

Did you see the order form in the exhibitor's manual for booth models? If you ordered one I'll be right over!

I Don't know the booth number yet, the marketing guy is making all the details,

the models order form is hillarious. there isn't anything you can't buy/get in Vegas I guess.

no models in our booth. visitors will have to look at my balding head instead but were supposed to get those fancy nitro starched embroydered shirts though!!!

yea

I would like to know your cost all said and done the end of the week and if you thought it was worth the investment. We are talking with a Big potential licensee about the towlight( my night Job) but, if that doesn't pan out, then maybe the show next year.

I will stop by

Maybe your potential licensee will be at the show. Are you taking a prototype of your towlight? As far as success at the show, if I have signed up some dealers and sold enough kits to pay off my out-of-pocket expenses, I will say the show was a success. I hope to have time and energy left over to meet people and learn useful information. That would be a bonus. If after all that there's time and energy to party...

I have attached a picture comparing the two systems in NEVRENUFF's boat from a simliar angle. People have asked why the box is so big and the answer is because it's sized to flow and cool 900 HP worth of air. It's the same reason that Big Chief heads are bigger than standard heads.

I could have made the box smaller and less efficient, and used a smaller and less efficient blower in the kit, but that has already been done. The Rtech actually takes up less real estate and doesn't require cutting of the back seat. The box height is the same so the extra volume has to come from width. This allows a sideways carb, which allows a deeper intercooler core and so on. When you compare the two photos you can see that we are really just making better use of the area where the Procharger hoses are routed.

It looks different, but the first time someone bolted a Roots blower on an engine I'm sure people thought it was strange. Come to think of it, when I first saw a centrifugal kit I thought it looked strange, until I saw the HP advantage over Roots. The sidemount Whipples looked strange, and although the topmount units have more of a Roots look, it still throws me a bit to see the air drawn in from the back as opposed the top. It just proves that we respond to what first symbolized big HP to us, even though our heads tell us Roots is the least efficient technology.

The report from Maine today was that changing to the 30 Bravo prop added 1 mph. So the total gain was from 77.0 to 85.4 mph on GPS. I prefer to use the numbers from the 28 Bravo that was used in both the baseline and Rtech tests, to avoid +/- variability due to the prop change, but the numbers do support a 7-8 mph gain, which suggests an additional 100 HP was provided by the "big black box".

Tom. I have my 500efi out of the boat and on a stand in the shop if you want to do some measuring. Give me a call and let me know when you might need it so I dont tear it apart first .

TC, Looks like if you are interested we will be using a Rtech with a M4 procharger & 2000 cfm throttle body. Got efi manifold order, should be here end of month. Once I got manifold I will be able to get measurements to see if it will work.

Sean: I'll give you a call later this week. I could bring the blower and brackets down to the shop and we could trial fit the blower to see where we are with any interferences.

Turbojack: I assume you're talking about a single plane EFI with 4 barrel throttle body. I think that will prove to be the ultimate setup. On another post JimV said that he tested the Arizona Speed & Marine EFI manifold (same as Merc) and it was worth 80 HP to switch to the single plane style.

I'm glad to hear this since the single plane manifold makes it possible to use the existing supercooler. As long as the M4 mounting position doesn't make things difficult for us it should work with minor changes to accommodate the 4" outlet. (Standard is 3.5")

After SEMA we can organize a trial fitting of a standard box to see where we are. Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Tomcat, What's the availability for a carbed Procharger set up? These are obviously great gains and would like to make some improvements this winter (what else is there to do!).

Any other changes beside jetting?

Thanks

Pure Energy: We are building the standard "box" as seen on NEVRENUFF's boat right now. Delivery in November after the SEMA show.

If you have the basic M1 blower and 324 intercooler kit, you just remove the intercooler and carb box and put your carb in the new box. New throttle linkage and internal fuel lines are included in the kit. Since both the throttle linkage and the fuel lines are now on the back of the box, some re-routing of lines and throttle cable are necessary.

If you have installed a smaller pulley already you may have to go back to the original pulley because the box is going to add 2-3 psi of intake manifold boost.

One "must have" item is a single plane intake manifold like the Dart or Edelbrock Victor Jr. I know some of you are using the original GM dual plane that comes on the 454 Mag, but you can't use it due to the angled carb flange and the plenum divider. The carb flange must be flat for several reasons and the sideways carb necessitates the single plane's open plenum.

Final carb calibration will be determined later this month on the dyno at Nickerson's, but we're close with what NEVRENUFF is running now.

One caution: The fuel system really has to be up to the job!

Well, we have done some more testing with NEVERENUFF`s boat and all I can say is WOW!!! does this thing make some big power and reliably too!

We still have not found the end of it yet, have to wait 'til spring now

The last tests were run with a 30p Bravo 1 that had been worked on. The R Tech equipped 502 was spinning the prop 5600 for a gps reading of 85.6. Prop slip seems high. Need to try a labbed prop.

Keep your eyes peeled for a full a story on the R Tech Supercooler that will be in an upcoming issue of Family and Performance Boating magazine.

Congrats Tom, your invention works incredible!
