2 speed props, anyone running one?

Just like Timewarp said. IF you keep the down in the water they are fine, they take a LONG time to tune in properly, but if you surface them like in a hydrostream or something similiar then they do toss blades off. There was a string about Merc. Making a infinatly variable pitched prop a while back, but I do not know what happend to it. I guess it was controlled through hydrolics.

Thanks for all the info. I've also heard the L&S is kind of flaky about what pitch it wants to stay in (hunts around).
I know Merc had a 2 speed prop in the late 90's, but it was discontinued about 2 years ago.
I'm still on the fence about which blower (if and when). The whipple sounds like the better package, but I don't know If I have the "control" not to hammer it and eat drives :-).
