Trans rebuilt on a trs
I'm in the Cin area. Does anyone know of a good shop that can rebuild my trans. They did have 500hp bolted to them. I redid the motors now there 502 / 509's. They made it all last year but I'm afraid they might no make it this year ?

I'm currently rebuilding my Velvet Drive trannies with additional upgraded clutches, etc for increased torque capacity. Velvet Drives are very simple tranny's and any good tranny shop can get parts and rebuild/upgrade them. Additionally, BAM and Huber are well know nationally for doing quality rebuilds/upgrades to them.

Yep, they wanted $1100 each to upgrade my V/D's to their 925 specs. The guy I use for my automotive racing tranny's (TSI) talked to Huber a few weeks ago and discussed what needs to be done to them to handle my 540's. I'm only making 670 ft lbs, so I didn't need the full "Kryptonite" treatment, and the TRS drives will probably fail first anyway if I really get on it. TSI is charging me $750 each.
