Default New cockpit flooring?

I'm tearing the carpet out of my cockpit and would like to replace with a hard, non-slip surface (or something that can be painted non-slip). Sub-flooring is currently 1/2" plywood with a soft spot outside the cabin door.

Any suggestions on what can be layed over the existing sub-floor?

Thanks in advance,

Doller Offshore usually has a big roll of the Pirelli rubber flooring used in Cigarettes and they will cut to length needed.

Where is Doller Offshore?

Danny, what are you going to do about the soft spot in the floor? I have the same problem and have contemplated redoing it myself. I wasn't sure how big of a job it was.

Doller Offshore is in Ft. Laud, I believe.

The soft spot is about 12" x 12", right in front of the cabin door. Subfloor is 1/2" plywood. I'm going to chisel/cut the soft spot out and replace with a new piece of 1/2" Starboard (www.tacomarine.com). However, if I can find flooring that's rigid enough, I'll just overlay that in place of the carpet.
