Re: Anyone with Hydromotive P5X results?
It looks like my setup is very similar to Cat-n-Around. Same hp, high X, boxes etc. My performance with the stock 34 Bravos are about the same. I tried a pair of P5s and they provided too much stern lift.
The P5s ran great in ruff water and at cruise, but the stern lift caused some bouncing in the 75 mph range. I have a friend with about the same boat but more hp and lower X. He loves the P5s except for the top end speed, but how often are you running there?
Thanks for the test results Cat-n-Around.

I agree the p5's did run better in rough water. I too don't understand why the rpm's were lower, the prop's were ran back to back. With the p5x's I should be able to spin at least 33's, I was into the rev limiter pretty hard. They are definitely easier to get on plain and stay on plain at a much slower speed. If I could the same top end or better with the p5x they would be worth the money. But the Bravo's performed very good just took a little longer to get there.
