I switched from g.m. rectangle to eldebrock marines and performer r.p.m.s last year.....ported the heads, gained 1 point compression and reliabilty of inconel exhaust.....package is 150# lighter, runs alot better, but gained only about 3m.p.h. on a heavy 37' boat alot of work, but not much of a gain Ken

Will switching JUST the heads really get you an extra 70hp/80tq??

I put in the flow numbers to desktip dyno for gm iron head and the flow numbers for 6055 rect port edelbrocks with my engine and that is what I get. I do run an excellent set of headers so that would have an impact if you run less perf exhaust. Depends on your exact combo, but they are a great improvement. Best part is they are repairable.

I found out that the CP Performance deal is for heads and valves - not complete.

I was surprised at the power they made for me. 742 Hp with 2-3 lbs of non intercooled roots blower boost. Gasket matched only. 522 CID

Not my first choice for N/A engines by any means. Great bargain.

Flatlander advertises them for 1,299 but I have yet to find them in stock there.

amer3-

You are not setup to receive private messages on this board. I would appreciate any info you might have on the Edelbrock heads. Are you currently running them??

My email is [email protected]

Thanks

Dave
