Have a friend who ran a blown BBC (same HP) in a H2X. He also put a Stellings set back box on his with +2" X dimension. The box really helped. He eventually managed 89 GPS,
also with a 28" Bravo.
Not that familiar with your model boat. The H2X has a lot more lift built into the hull than other Baja models. It has flat chines, 3 strakes per side, a small pad, and a 21o deadrise.
The most fun was rocking the world of a lot of twin engine guys that jumped on my little 24 "stock" Baja.

Steve
EWB said that 89mph ride was a little un nerving at times..

It takes around 600 HP to propel my much smaller '88 Sunsport 196 to 80 MPH. I'm guessing you'll see around 75 MPH.

My .02 after reading this thread.... No ofense to anyone intended.

I would research other hulls that can easily run the speeds mentioned here with significantly less HP.

My 24 Outlaw ran 75 on gps with 550 blown hp. I would start with a 28" Bravo 1. Baja has told me the "safe maximum" for that hull is 80 mph. If you modify the hook you may get more speed, but then you change the dynamics and it may cause a problem somewhere else.

If need to go over 80 I would also consider a different hull.

thankyou for the advice,
I 'm going to take my chances with removing the hooks. Hope to see 75 plus. Talk to you soon with my next question.
