Shane, I like the way you think. The OSS boats have a race the following weeks so we offered a shorter course so they would have less of a chance to break anything.

You guys as a group can determine your own distance.

You shouldn't have to. Let's see a complete race.

Question Re: SVL Point Pleasant

I agree with Phantom... Without a "Full Length Race", some people may stay home...

Just my opinion...

Well, the one thing you guys are forgetting, Under the leadership of Kurt Berger....these races were not short. If I recall p5 ran 8 laps, P4 ran 10 laps, P3 ran 12 laps, P2 ran 14 laps, and P1 ran 16 laps. usually 7 mile laps. A SVL runs P2 speeds which would be 98 miles. I dont think they even carry that much fuel.
As much as I would like to see a battle, there are a lot of races this season. Most of them the finishing order is decided in the first three laps. The rest of the laps are to see who will break. We dont want to take anyone out of a Series Title postion. This race is strictly for the Fans. We are trying everything we can think of to raise the boat count in Pt Pleasant. If a big purse is the answere, so be it. The more boats we can get to come, the easier it is to get the $. We are trying to bring back the NE. We need a good showing this year so we can raise the $ for a National race next year, Thanks to the SVL teams for your interest in this race. We will also have a great couple of days for you to spend with the Boyz. Working hard on extra events. Smitty
