Maybe this is technology stepping forward, we know and can see the results after a incident happens, what may appear to be a solid design on paper may not work in the field of racing. but how is the orginal design tested????

I believe the intent of the canopy on a race boat is for a stuff or a rollover. No one ever said it had to be capable of a 8000 lb boat landing on it at 100 mph. It wasn't that long ago when there were no canopy's. I like the ideas of improving on safety but there has to be limits to what the design specs are for.
This is a dangerous sport and we all know it when we get in it. If you are not comfortable with what can happen to you including death DO NOT EVER EVER GET IN TO A RACE BOAT.

Packinair-
I'll Post It As Soon As I Figure Out How. It Shows Nothing Of The Accident- You See What We Saw- Nothing. You Never See Jbs And The Only Sign Of Impact Was When The Tape Skips On Impact. The Only Important Thing It Shows Was Our Speed, Direction, Position In The Turn And Lane. There Was No Hook, No Loss Of Control And No Abrupt Manouevers Whatsoever.

We have not heard of an aerial/overview shot of the accident? We would be very interested in one! Please let me know if one turns up?

Here's my take....... Lisa was taking an outside to in line on the pin, she crossed in front of JBS not realizing they were there and gave them a bath, then she made her cut to the pin. Likewise, JBS appears to have a middle line with an arc starting at the pin (or slightly before). At the point Lisa makes her cut to the pin she never realizes that JBS is there and thats when the first hit takes place sending JBS in a slide to the broadside. Teague probably was off the sticks with his ass cheeks clenched when JBS came into his line. Its a miracle that nobaody was killed. The thought of the plenum getting ripped off the motor by an outdrive makes me thankful that it didnt go through a canopy.......

JBS is on the OUTSIDE
Pier 57/Twisted Metal is in the MIDDLE
Lightning Strikes is on the INSIDE

Pier57 has the lead and was the first boat to the pin. As they go through the turn thhey bump with JBS MID TURN between the two pins. This bump causes JBS to veer to the right which is when LS blindsides them.
