If this class were to ever get going again...I think it needs to be open to any hull or outboard engine mannfacturer. The basis for this class needs to be truley entry level.OPA has offered this class in the past;but only one or two boats showed up.There are so many potential boats for this class particulary in the northeast part of the country:Superboat,Shadow,Challenger,IntimidatorAct ivator,
Velocity,Progression,Kryptonite.Ghost,Apache,Banan a,Checkmate,Rally Sport,Twister,P&D,BRTetc...Keep the rules simple...21-24ft single outboard to get as many boats out there as possible. The old NPBA A-Class had as many 20 boats at some races. There are many boats out there that could be bought for $15,000 or less that would be ideally suited for this class.Offshore powerboat racing needs entry level classes;particularly with the state of the economy. If anyone wants to race;they should contact OPA.The Patchogue,NY OPA race in the Great South Bay is the ideal venue to race these boats.
