IT APPEARS THAT THIS THREAD IS NO LONGER PRODUCTIVE. I would strongly suggest that the moderator delete this thread and Professional Offshore Racers need to refrain from any politial banter with FANS. It is flat out inappropriate and unprofessional....PERIOD!!!!!!!!!

Well Donz...I asked you who are you becasue I thought you were a racer that I met 4 or 5 years ago...and if it was you...I thought you and Steve got along pretty well....

As far as the racing in P1...Yes I agree...the set ups and the race sites are great with great turn outs...
I'm not knocking the racing over there one bit...
The Dragon team over there said all there races were big water....but as far as over hear...SBI/APBA have some big water races....Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Sarasota, Key West, all of these sites at one time or another have had races in 10 footers....

I tell you what...if you are who I think you are....why not jump into my boat for a little fun in St. Cloud. If its you, I know your a DONZI guy....but meeting some of the old APBA guys might be a good thing

Donzi,
Did someone in a Fountain blow a roostertail in your face? Your making Donzi look bad. They have had some of there best years in racing since the Don man was around. Well thats if you really even have one. You don't sound like a fan to me, you sound disgruntled. As far as what we talk about on here, its racers talking, fans have every right to interject and also have every right to get straightened out if there outta line.
It's not always gonna be lovey dovey ( unless ofcourse RG3 is involved) sometimes we disagree. As far as other Motorsports being all prim and proper for the fans? Where or what planet are you from? I've seen punch outs at car races, baseball, bowling, sailboats races, little league games, etc. Not saying it's right but who coined the phrase, I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out. And yes you are highjacking the thread because and only because your making it personal.
Now what were we talking about?

Wow only one sentence? I thought I was in for a 3 page tirade lol. getting back to the thread I still say it was a bold move having a race on Superbowl weekend and my hats off to the guys who raced there. They are true American racers!
They shouldn't have to answer or apologize to anyone let alone you, whom ever you are. If the racing oversea's is so appealing to you, maybe it's time to relocate, get yourself a little villa on the Malta coast. I have to call Julie and Matt Monday on another matter, how about this, if she say's my post as out of line I won't post on this thread again, but if she say's yours was the post's in question you do the same. After all you can make your own thread, say uh "why I hate offshore racing in the USA" ?

Donzi,
There not offensive to me at all, I'm not the one you were attacking. Sensitizing? I said sentences as in a lot of them.
I wasn't making up rules, you said my post to you was the one(way after the fact) that should be deleted. I was issuing a challange of sorts, challenging your comment. You also made the statement knocking offshore here as opposed to oversea's, maybe I went a little overboard with the anti-american stuff, with the way things are in the world right now, I'm very protective of our country, I appologize. I too like boat racing where ever it may be. I'm also very protective of boat racing. I have been working on a race site for 3 months now putting in 4-5 hours a day on top of running a business.
2 night time meetings a week, addressing everything that goes into a large crowd gathering, and a ton of other things I won't bore you with and there's a lot more to do. I'm doing this to to say thank you, to our fans, enthusiasts , sponsors, but most of all for all the people who have donated and dedicated there time and money to keep us racing no matter how glum it can sometimes appear.
If more racers were to call there respective organizations and ask what they can do to help promote an event they would get bigger and better. So with all your enthusiasm that comes with being an enthusiast, maybe you could help an orginization of your choice?

I bet Savannah was one of your favorites.

MANITIE - It's funny to me.... that it's funny to you.... that's the kind of ego-driven mentality that got us here.....

What's even funnier and I "Shiite" you not....... I had you on my " #10 things I learned "
but took it off because I felt me showcasing your mastery of the english language
would not be even remotely unknown or productive for that matter......... as much as I laughed reading your post.

& you really have no idea what I'm bent out of shape for, or how long this has frustrated some of us,
so you really can't say "Over Nothing"

As I explained in post number #1 I found my fix for the sport I love in Powerboat P1 overseas competition
for the last couple years, but still keep hoping something will change here.... hope is lost for me.
I'm not bent out of shape as much as it would read, and I tried to express that with some laughable humor.

This year I will have all my favorite manufacturers competing against each-other (including a couple last minute surprise entry's yet to be announced Shhhhhh) in real offshore conditions and not on some lake in the middle of North Carolina,(as nice as NC is) plus I don't have to watch some of the worst TV coverage/Fountain infomercial ever on a backwood channel like OLN........ I'm friggin great.... I got SPEED CHANNEL COVERAGE AGAIN BABY!! The Alweis special!!

This year instead of the annual Key West trip to watch 6 boats race at the "World" championships
I take an early vacation to Malta near Italy to watch these boys tackle real 10 to 15 foot seas... believe me, I'm good...
no worries here.....

P.S... Think I'm Bull-Shiiteing about 10 to 15 foot seas in some cases,
take a look at the new 2006 OSG World Championship tribute video
Donzi just put on the news section of their website... http://www.donzimarine.com/ Either way it's a sweet arse video.
Exhibit A
