So cilly? your so silly lol, If one boat shows up for a class and races he wins!! If one Boat shows up for the worlds and races he is the world champion!! Why penalize the only team that showed up? What I would do is ask the powers that be, why no one else showed up? Uh, like what is the reason? I can think of a few. But since our team races OPA I've never had to ask that question.
Louie
PS. Who started the crazy fan guy off? not that I don't cherish his attendence but he is really stoked.

wow!! Donzi you are a fan and we appreciate your input. You speak as a fan and the only agenda you have is from a fans perspective. Your not waving your pom poms for one side or the other, you just cheer for offshore as a sport. Since about 8 out of the 10 gripes were at things I posted feel free to contact me at any time and I will be more than happy to fill you in and give you my perspective and I look forward to hearing what your suggestions are to "fix" this sport that we all love.
In a press release from the CONCH Republic they invited all racers to Key West this year, simple race 2 whereever in OSS or OPA and you are eligible. We welcome everyone and if the racers want a united worlds then they will attend, if not they can do what they chose. No more having a so-called united world championship and then walking away with 2-3 different champions ever again. No other organization is invited, each race team in this country is. The racers have choices and it is up to them now. The door is open.
As far as tv, please by all means put up the money that Reggie has put into it and we will call it the "Donzi38ZR infomercial". Whether it was good tv or not, there was tv and the station never canceled it because of poor quality, unlike some some other broadcasts I have heard about. Thats here nor there though. Hopefully the associations can produce something if not as good or better than the old Speedvision telecasts. I look forward to it.
I can be reached anytime 321-508-3077, but I hope you do call cause I posed some questions concerning the F1 class to an individual earlier in this thread, since he stated he knows what happened to the F1 class and I have yet to hear his plethera of knowledge on the subject to date. I'm here, please dont hide behind a computer screen

Ok you busted me..... I confess, in order to pay for my racing habit and with me only spending money to do it with no chance of a return, I have to strip at the local club as my profession. However, in response to your PM requesting pictures, I must decline, you need to get them from RG3 for her body is much more appealing than mine.
On a serious note, I do see your points concerning tv, but heads up, when the tv contract is signed this year, yes I am sure you will see fountain commercials, but there will be changes for the better in the broadcast that I think you will appreciate. Dont take my word for it, wait and see for yourself. I personally race a Fountain now, so if you see mention of my team on tv I do apologize in advance.
I apologize concerning the remark about hiding behind your computer screen, but high percentage of people on here post and dont face up to the music so-to-speak and cower behind the screen. I am a student of this sport and am always looking to improve this sport as a whole, my team, my boat, and me as a person. Unfortunately I am very opinionated which always seems to raise a lot or err but if I am wrong, I am the first to stand up and admit fault or apologize. Others would just as soon let the thread drop to the bottom and hope that it is forgotten. Pete B sent a very nice and productive PM that he did not apologize (which isnt neccessary), but stated that the 2 of us arent going fix offshore. I responded to him that he was right and that the both of us dont need to agree on issues but try and understand where the other was coming from. I alone can not fix offshore nor can any individual out there, but if we as racers come together(forgetting the organizations for a moment) we all can. I want all of the info I can get my hands on, especially from the serious fans of our sport, because sometimes when you have been in the box for so long, things can be seen better from outside of the box.
My offer still stands and if you have suggestions that will benefit the sport, I can then formulate a proposal to bring to the class reps and then up to the Board Of Governors to hopefully bring them to fruition. I just spent the past 3 hours speaking to racers(from both sides of the fence) on the phone and took notes for that very purpose.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Glad we are on the same page, finally lol
Go easy on Miklos though. I am not or will not speak for him, but he has done a lot for offshore as a whole. He is not all that high and mighty, he puts his pants on the same as you and I, one leg at a time. He has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in this sport, not just on his boat and team but in the associations in general to make this a better sport for all of us. He's been around the block a time or two and with his successes and failures we need to learn from them and apply them to our future.
I agree about the racers section, when all other racing orgs(Nascar, NHRA, CART, etc...) have disagreements they are men about it and call one another and handle out of the public eye. They dont have public forums such as this to air it out for all the world to see. Another suggestion would be to merge it back into one area and have one person per association post the press releases of that particular group, just the press releases, not a commentary on their peckers being longer than the others. That way instead of having to go to 3 different web sites, this would still be the one to one stop shop so-to-speak. With that each association put a gag order that we(as racers) have to stay off the boards.
Another suggestion that I want to throw by you, is for the racers to quit making demands from the other associations. I dont come into Donzi38ZR-R-US and say "I'm Trent Weyant, with TnT Racing and I want your product for free" Crap I think just because I am Trent Weyant you would charge me double
If you put Trent and 3 bucks together you might have enough for a cup of coffee @ Starbucks. Tell me what you think and I look forward to maybe meeting you along the line in the future.
Thanks,
Trent
PS If the demand is for free, go race OPA, they seem to have figured out the best mouse trap financially

Free is good and it does draw people but if it wasnt fun they wouldnt come back and race again.
Trent, I applaud your tact in responding to Donzi .... responses like those dont alienate the fans, and they keep the doors open for fans to want to come see you race (always helps to mention strip clubs too
)Condescending replies to one fan are read by many fans and only help to fuel our dislike ... but as its been pointed out, its good to have that team/series to dislike ... just makes the fans like other teams/series that much more .... lucky them .... those series grow
Man .... I already have the dark sunglasses, I really gotta get the cheerleader outfit ..... hehe

Poo...I'll be in St. Cloud.
Donz...sorry we can't get you 10 to15 seas....
we race were the sites are....but there is a sulution...pick a race site were there is 10 to 15 footers and put the race on...I'm sure one of the Organizations will step up...
Sorry racing here in the US is not up to par for you....
By the way...do any of us know you....becasue as I'm sure you know there is a lot of foney's on here that will take shots at racers that hide behind a screen name...
You must know a lot about Steve M. and a few others to make comments like that....but you seem to be as you put it a fan...you take cheap shots at racers but god forbid someone make a comment about you....
Man...and I hate to hear what you think of OSS races since the majority of there races are on lakes and have no TV...
But here is some advise....why don't you come to some OPA races...big water 5 to 8 boats in a class and good racing....
will that type of racing meet your standards...if so...
I just might pick up your plane far....
So how about it...the racers are always up to meeting fans....
