Randy...I see what your saying....I know you get paid to race there..but to take 36k of your equipment fee's and membership fees for 09 from OSS and put it to the fee's that the OSS teams don't have and not have to mess with putting on a race....but apperantly is not a problem putting on a race on in 3 months and they are throwing money at you guys to come...but what you offered to John, he looses money for OSS to attend....if you guys only pay entre fee's and no equimpment fee's then no one will have to pay it either unless they run the SBI races in 2009....so that would be another 30 + teams on top of you guys....do you not see how John would loose all the equipment and membership fee's just to accomidate 15 OSS teams that are not coming......do you really think anyone thinks you guys are that important that they should loose money to have you attend

Why would anyone do that.....it makes no sence....thats why I said it would be intersting to see the offer that was made to John....its makes no sence....you don't see that he already has all the Orgs attending his Worlds....why would he do that....all that was offered was something no one in business today would do...so what did OSS really offer to make it 1 Worlds.....nothing.....but for John to loose money he will already collect....

The reason I said OSS should have no fee's at all and prize money is becasue you don't have the same situation John has....he has the boats coming from all the Orgs..and you don't ......and they are paying all fee's.....so how else are you going to attract more boats then just your OSS members....

Why is he losing money? SBI teams that will race all year pay the full amount as they always have. If not he will collect at there first race the balance. OPA and OSS teams that want to race more events will pay if they show up at there 1st race. How is that losing money? In the mean time he may pick up 20-30 more boats at his event that are willing to pay race fee's. It feels like people are getting stuck paying a whole years dues to an organization that they most likely will run only one race in. Someones math is way off here.
And someone said it will cost $500K to put on a SBI event but now its a little over $100K for OSS to do it?

Ok Candy,

Thanks for the laugh 3 years in a row but here is the slow version. Typhoon Offshore Racing is qualified to run in Key West based on the 2 races completed in any organization. The only other stipulation is that you you have to be in good standing with SBI/APBA. Are you???? I dont know the answer to that, only you would know. Lets say you are. Typhoon can come and race all day long just as any other team and pay whatever monies owed, just like EVERY OTHER team. You as a team have choices, Duval or Marino's. Your choice.

OSS is not invited, OPA is not invited, but each and every race team in this country is, no matter what flag flies over them for the balance of the year.

For craps and giggles what makes you or any other team feel that you shouldnt have to pay equipment and crew fees? You did to run your boat in OPA didnt you? Heck if thats the case, I'm just going to start showing up to race sites around the country and tell them I'm Randy Schleuss and I should race for free.

You as a race team have choices, just as you as a team have chosen to run OSS. God Bless ya bud, you made a choice! Now as I said above, Duval or Marino's. Whatever you chose be safe and have a great time. You were and always will be one the the all time great racers in this sport, whatever choice you make for your team will be the right one for your team!

Trent

I'm on a business trip to Utah right now and I missed ESPN's coverage of Brett Favre today. Did I miss anything cause its more revelant than this thread ever was, since the horse is not only dead, its been sent to the glue factory

1st of all I said I will hit you with a low figure that no one could contest me with....

Randy....He is already collecting all fee's from every team but 15 of OSS racers....do the math...if 7 OSS teams attend and say 30 OPA teams are already attending and paying all fees and say it equals 2k not including entree fees...thats 90k + his team full memberships....thats a given...its done...he did it last year....now on you demands...he would loose 90k if no one attends his 09 races....you just said OSS will not attend any of his races in 09 so he can't count on that...and of the OPA guys that attended, there were a lot of us that did not get a chance to make any of his races this year.....so he would loose there....why woud anyone do that...he already has every org coming and paying all fee's....its only 15 or so of you that wont attend...he's not loosing anything by the few that don't attend....

Trent...that was explained very well....its a racers invite....not a org invite...

As of right now current SBI reg. boats:

All the SC 750's (7)
Motley Crew
Popeyes
Learning The Ropes
Amsoil
WHM
CRC
Bud Lite
Citron
Geico
AMF Lavey Craft
All 6 of the Stock Boats
Total of 23 boat

Sometime we talk about boats from OSS that would come or not come. These boats are reg. SBI boats what makes them OSS boats they are reg with SBI I would think they r SBI boat and i think will be in KW so what does it really leave. How many boats are you talking about ...?

Randy I think that is the point Gino is trying to make , all of these teams didnt have a problem paying SBI ...Plus all of the POPRA , and OPA` boats.
