Tony, I do understand what you guy's are doing and yes that is great fun for you. The problem I see is if we all do that then there would be no OSS left. I personal like the style of the OSS organization and dont want to jeopordize it. I think OPA has the right idea for regional racing and it works. I also think OSS has the right idea being a National circuit.
SO the big question again is why cant we work together?? Money is a big factor but its worth sitting down and trying. These 2 organizations should be the starting point of unity.
IRL and Cart did it and look what its done for them in one year.

I think buy the time i go up north ,to race with OPA i would spend more money then i am racing with SBI.
Also i dont think that SBI is bad at all.
I like SBI.

Just my 2c.

PS.: everybody should do, what they think is right .

OH and also ,to start the BS again . I AM PLANING ON WINNING IN KW !

Daredevil, you are 100% right. You live in FL and should race in the South. Thats why the divisional race works so well with OPA in the North. If there were no OPA I dont think you would see many team traveling to FL. to race in P class due to cost to travel and time.
PS you have one cool looking boat.

You guys all have some great ideas...Why doesnt OSS do what you are saying and have all the boats race their Worlds as a United Worlds. If you think U can get promoters to pay for all the teams that cant afford to race , as u said easier then go for it.
Different people have different idea thats what makes the world go around, no one has to be right no one has to be wrong just different. No one is saying anything is right or wrong just that it is what it is so we all have to adjust the best we can and make what we have for now work. Like Tony and Smitty said you just make it work not try and change it. I guess until one of us are writing almost a half a million dollar in ck to pay for a Worlds that all we can do is make the best of it and enjoy what we have.

Frank, If OSS offered do you think you could get the SBI teams too St. Pete for a joint Worlds race? Would all of you OPA racers want to be part of it. I think its a great start Frank. SBI can still have there race in KW but maybe a big joint race can be done in St. Pete Thanks for keeping a open mind.

OSS has offered some relief on registration, OPA has a minimal reg fee, no race fees..so i think if u do the math its
alittle more money but probably not 10,000...but hopefully it brings some racers together...since 2007 when we started to..it seems like more people crossover...i know its tough but what do u do...we figure we can supply sponsors with the best exposure ...i am up for any new ideas..we try....

How is that different than what it is now? OSS has had their "worlds" in Destin for the last two years and KW has still gone on. Most OPA teams cant afford to do two "worlds" so we have to pick one. We picked Destin one year and KW last year. If there is a "worlds" in St Pete .. great but there is still a "worlds" in KW and if I had to bet, I'd bet there always will be.

Race girl, Frank was explaining the cost of approx $500k to put on a week event in KW and that its hard to raise more money from outside sources. So we are back to how do we get the 100 teams in one place for this event. If someone could put on a Worlds for free could we get all the teams? If there was a one time reg. fee for this one event for $1000 is that fair? I dont have the magic number as to what the racers want. It is quit clear that there is a problem for many teams financially. Think in terms of class 5 with 20 boats at the start.
Take all the political BS and toss it over board and move the sport forward. I have spoken to Poli and he is ready to have a round table discussion with all the Org.
