Thumbs down

There is one thing that really confuses me. I flipped over to SPEED on Friday and saw Speed Racer was on. I sat through a little bit of is waiting to see what was coming on next... To my dismay, I was watching part of the Speed Racer Thon, were they showed 38 consecutive episodes... let me do the math real quick, thats 19 hours!!! I can't believe that APBA has to pay for airtime when SPEED wants to put a cartoon on for 19 hours.

Chris

BTW I didn't sit and wait for it to finish, I'm just going by what the commercial said

Third show on orange beach today 1-4-04

The coverage was for, Super Cat, Super Cat -Light and a snip of Cat PX

This is the results of time coverage of boats actually running on the race coarse

This was very unscientific using a regular watch so I give the numbers a factor of accuracy within a ½ minute or so

1) General Commercials as well as Promos on city of Orange Beach and basic Info Breaks
--26 Minutes

Actual time Racing shown

2) PX- – 2 Minutes

3) Super Cat--12 Minutes

4) Super Cat Light –8 Minutes

5) Start and Finish Intros and flags and interviews 12 minutes

Less actual racing than last weeks show with fewer classes running

Less than half the show was boats racing

I know you need commercials to make the show happen but am i crazy that almost 1/2 the show being promo is a bit much ??
