There are a few 28' Skater raceboats out there.
The HULK 32' Aero Speed Marine
Supreme Marine 30' AMT
Citre Shine 28' Skater Canopied
PLUS lots of open cockpit boats.

What ever happened to the 32' Skater that Rigue Ford had??? I know there was a guy who was running it a few years ago but never saw it again. I would think that design could be fine tuned to run good as well. I think it was listed on the skater website not to long ago.

Since Mercury stopped selling the 2.5 engines as of 2/1/05, what are the NEW boats planning to use for power ?

Re: Key West SS outboards

The 2.5 ROS motor will still be available, just not as a complete engine. This will still be the class engine for the immadiate future. There will be between 10-15 boats at some races this year it should be GREAT. For those intrested in going racing this class is the best bang for your buck out there. There are several good boats out there for sale as cheap as $75,000.00 for a running canopied boat. The new boats that are already being built have 2.5's on order already.
