Guess it would be a good idea to contact them in the trenton office for the correct guidelines.
k, thanks

YES , A nexus card is great but EVERYONE on the boat has to have one or it is useless. btw you can call in to canadian customs right at boblo island no big deal. The problem is coming back into the US that can be a problem without the nexus card especially with all the damm border patrol boats out there.

laz,
Without everyone on board carring a nexus card you have to report back in the US in person at the detroit immigration office , wtf ! We usually call in when we get to canada and roll the dice coming back. Dont go there much anymore except for a Duffy's run too much hassle. Did you put arnies on the AT yet ?

So as long as everyone on board has the nexxus then you dont have to do inspection on the way back. correct ? I could not get a straight answer last year on this. Did all our research with Arneson and will be doing it for sure. Just wrapping up my wifes Apache first for this summer.

Correct if everyone on board has nexxus then no inspection is required on the way back.. What are the odds that everyone on board has a nexxus card.

Nor-tech is back from flordia just waiting for some weather.

what about a enhanced drivers licence...that has citizenship on it....having that and calling is all you should really need to do?..

From my understanding, the enhanced DL is what you need when you get to Canada (or a passport). But the nexus card or inspection is necessary when coming back to US. Part of the nexus card is a background check and an interview. I believe they did away with the I68 form (I think that was what it was called).

IMe and the wife and daughter will apply ASAP. I will suggest to my friends (that want to go boating with me) to apply as well. If they choose not to get the card, then they don't get to go with us when we go to CA. Period!
