Mark, never mind. The rest of the crew is meeting us at Flannigans too. You'd need a bigger boat
Tomorrow for sure though. Screw winterizing. It's far over rated.
BTW, my buddy UncleGreginlaw (you may have met him??) is doing the same as you today.

He boated on Buckeye for yrs w/a maroon colored 21' Crownline cuddy. Moved up a couple yrs ago to a 25' Sea Race cruiser. Built a house in Thornville a couple yrs back also.
He used to do a Lake Erie trip w/me every other yr or so as well.
I'm sure you guys have crossed paths. He is a party every where he goes
Did one Pelee trip where his whole Buckeye Lake posse followed us up and about burned the island down. We did a winery tour and his posse had the entire bus and driver stinking of gonj by the time it dumped us out back at Scudder. Singing, dancing and merriment in general.

Wind blowing NNE tells me that it should be a smooth ride out of Muzurik thanks to Catawba Island, but once you get pass the tip it will probably get a tad hairy the SBI should help block some wind in theory.
We are still playing it by ear, probably go up late and hopefuly it will be calm saturday morning and shoot up to PIB.

Dale says he's going no matter what, and I'm in as long as it's not pouring down rain. I ain't scared of waves, but I HATE being cold and wet all weekend. Not to mention my interior is spotless right now, and I would like to keep it that way!

Should then have following seas on your return. Massive hang overs should make it even more interesting.
We got stranded on Kelly's one time (by ferry) w/similar weather. The ferry dock at Seaway was dead calm but the ferry capt aborted our trip due to reported 10 -12's at the Catawba dock. Was amazing that it was dead calm as far as you could see. May be what you are in for.
Agree w/the wet/cold comment too. Not much worse. Been there, done that.
Gorgeous in Cols right now although 20* cooler than yesterday and reported to be the best we'll see for our week in town. Calling for rain to start this evening and not stop for days.

Begining to think it might be a bad idea. I don't mind rough water in the summer but when the water temp is cold skies are grey, its just scary looking out there. My gf and I aren't hard core Erie boaters so even though I have a 31' Formula its not a trip that I lake to take alone. Sounds like more and more people are dropping out.
Not sure what to do?
