New 41 Hustler
 

I missed the show this year, does anyone have any pics and or specs. power, drives, speeds, of this new 41 this year.:cool: The pics I saw were just portions of the boat. Thanks. Jeff

My wife and I fell in love with the new 41 Hustler Razor. What a beautiful boat with the perfect balance of all the luxury creature comforts one could want and performance! The Razor went straight to Lake X from the show to be dialed in by Mercury and it ran 98MPH and is expected reach or exceed 100MPH with a different pair props that are being shipped to Hustler for further testing! It is fully loaded, A/C, Vacu flush, etc. Staggered Merc 700's/NXT drives.

Large Cabin! Over 6 feet high for the first half including the Head/Shower room. Second half of the cabin drops to the mid 5 foot range as you approach the V Berth.

It is a pretty nice looking boat.

Lots of room in the cabin and such.

Should run about 80 with diesels.

Ive heard that before:p :D Nice looking boat. Bottom looks exactly like the 40 model, so if its a slightly modified deck I would guess it has the same 6'3" headroom.
I like the lines and the cockpit. I was on Hustlers website, saw a twin 485 Yanmar 40' speeds published were 75mph. What were the dollars at the show....Jeff

What's wrong with the NXT's? How much more to add #6's? I heard the boat ran great at Lake X when they dialed it in. Also from what I have been told you only need to convert over to the #6's if your boat is going to run over 113MPH where there might be a chance of prop blowout with the NXT's.

I was teasin RIK, he sells only Arnesons. As to the NXT drives, they just haven't proven themselves to me like the #6has. I have a problem with customers being Merc's test bed, I heard many mixed reviews, both from manufactures and customers. Many manufactures are marketing speed and every last mph is what the average Joe
wants. So the X dim. is set somewhat higher. I do like the Razor, very different...but I also like diesels, that is what is in my 43 Nortech. Yanmars/Arneson's:cool:

we sold a 40 with yanmar 480hp diesels, it was in water at the show this year....the boat was delivered in late june and the owner has 150hours on it already. he goes on these insane trips into the bahamas. hes running about 80 with the boat fully loaded and loves it.

I do believe the new 41 Razor has the same bottom as the 40 had with only one step which must go back to the early 90's. Does anyone know if it is a good bottom, like fast, stable, safe, etc.? Is it an outdated design or a tried and proven design that does not need any changes? Anyone have experience with the 40? Your comments would be appreciated.

I was going by the Hustler website, under Yanmar section I noticed the 40 was at 75, but 80 is even better. Is the bottom the same on the 40 vs the 41 Razor. Any changes, not that they are needed. Thanks Jeff

There are at least 2 of the 40' that run 80 mph with the 480 Yanmars. The one CA claims 81.? but call it solid 80.

Wonder how fast this 41' was at Lake X?

A guy in the Hustler at the show said they have seen 82. I'm not sure who it was though. He was working on the boat. He has a Superboat and a 32 Hustler. Someone there also said it was sold to a couple in CA. Anyone know who?? Was it you Beetlejuice?

the 40 that was in water at the show has on gps 81.9mph that boat is local down there, the is another one in ca. but who knows sometimes you get a monday motor sometimes you get a tuesday 75mph is conservative. As far as the hull goes the 40 and 41 are the same just a differnt deck. and it is a bear in ruff water very nice stable boat i would def not change it.

I believe they are talking about us. We are trying to purchase the new 41 Razor from the show. We are working on the terms of financing and trading or selling our '04 Slingshot. We hope the numbers will work for us. But until then it is not sold to us.

I actually like this 41 Razor model now with the revised deck and cockpit changes vs the 444. I think Hustler did a great job on making the deck very up to date with a aircraft designed dash. Boat has nice big billet steps to the top deck and ton's of storage in the floor and sunpad deck.

My wife and I hope it works out for us, real soon so we can make the Desert Storm Poker Run at Lake Havasu end of April in our new Razor.

We had a 1997 40' Hustler with twin 500s. The hull ran great and had no issues in any water conditions. I know of a few 40s with triple power running over 110 mph with great handling. The interior on the 41 locks just like ours (just updated).

Thats my favorite part of the boat, IS THE DASH. The rest of the cockpit is cool too. Also looks like a lot of headroom from some of the side shots of the boat. Hope the deal works out for you, looks like a great boat, would like to get a ride sometime.:cool: Jeff

i was at the factory this weekend picking out the colors for my new 25 talon, and the 41 razor was there.....simply amazing, i absolutely loved it, the dash is soooo cool

out of curiosity, where is the trim & drive indacators.

The drive and tab trim levels are indicated electronically in the smart craft display which is in the center of the dash. Joe showed us this at the boat show and we were impressed. He said it was much more accurate since there are no cables and adjustments.

i would still rather a mechanical as well if somthing happened to my electronics.

What happens if the trim indicator cables stretch, bind, get stuck or break?

i meant have both, the mechanical as a back up

As soon as the weather is decent in New York Joe will be doing a water photo shoot of the new Razor and Helicopter running video all of which will be posted on Hustlers website. Can't hardly wait to see it!
