Default Custom work

These are some pics from last week, some custom work on the intercooler. We had to cut the inlet off redesign it and weld it back on to match up with the blower.
The paint was just done love the color, its about an exact match to the purple on the boat.
The rockers are set up with the proper length push rods.
Ready to put some accessories on it

Default Getting there

Some accessories are getting put on. The custom work on the intercooler turned out perfect. I am up in the air about painting the valve covers purple... The polished look is cool for a few months then its all work to keep it nice... check out the custom one off support bracket for the intercooler. The factory bracket wouldn't work without the carb box, plus it was stamped steel (more like tin) I imagine the cooler gets heavy full of water and all the bouncing the boat will take we really want it to stay hooked to the motor. Just needs to be painted or polished?? Jason Saris just does some awesome work.
Lots of the missing EFI stuff came in, things are coming along good now, cross your fingers for me.
Also the SCX is on its way. I opted for just the upper, IMCO said at the speeds I would be running the SCX lower would lose about 5mph, I cant have that. Plus the SC lowers really dont break they just just make noise and need new gears every 50 hours or so... never know I may try the SCX lower if i get pissed about repairing the SC lower. Brett @ BBlades is making me a custom prop so I can use my -3 on a standard upper. Remember all my work setting up the drive height to perfection and reglasing the transom and raising the X 2"... now I can still have it. I am getting pumped. Funny I dont get excited about much any more but when Jason and I were working on the engine Monday he was talking about how fast and how much power it was going to make. I was just smiling, felt like a kid getting a lap dance for the first time, lol...

I I decided to keep the valve covers polished, the Procharger hat will be painted purple. Still need to weld in some breathers. Coming along great, the plan is to go back to Performance marine Monday-Tuesday to do some more. Maybe get on the dyno.... the oil system needs to be plumbed, injectors, harness, sensors installed. But it is coming together...

The elbows and hat attachments for the procharger are out gettting welded, along with the valve cover breathers.
The new fuel pump and system. The other pic is a seperate water pickup and strainer for the intercooler alone. Is that a big cooler or what.... It will be in paint soon.
O yeah.. That last pic.. just came in today along with a custom test prop from my buddy Brett @ BBlades...
i will take another pic when the lower and prop are on it...
I am dreaming of big dyno numbers...

What do you say, give me some guesses... how much HP how much TQ and how fast will it run when done...
I plan on twisting it to 6400.

I'm gonna try Don. It's my fathers and my best friends birthday on the 25th. I'll know more in a couple weeks. I don't mind where I stay as far as a hotel is concerned. As long as I'm 20 minutes from a ramp it won't matter.
