Couldn't just leave it alone....Made a slight mod to improve water flow and safety against a kelp clump.
Shook it down a week ago in long beach with some friends for fun.
This is the first run with the new secondary intake.
I had the Sea strainer modified for a secondary input so as to create a complete second path on top of the lower unit.
This of course necessitates a weld to the unit as well as the creating and routing of a new path to the strainer.
Everything ran great including the new update to the furunos sounder portion of the system.
Thanks to Bruce for the pictures (Too Many Mustangs)
There was a guy running around in something that looked like a 24 spectra with a v drive, it was pretty quick from about 30-50 but even in the breakwater it started airing out till he backed off-
I was surprised when decided to run us...the result was not surprising.
The ilmors still got it - huge fun-- she rocketed us to about 80 in few seconds and had about another 5 in her with the load I had.
I held there while we sailed along about 10 seconds to see what he had and backed out. Never saw him again, but id still like to go out and ride with him someday.
