I looked at it pretty hard and when I was negotiating I thought it wasn't.

Teague decided not to build a closed cooled version at the time or there would be a T800 in my boat.

It was his business to turn down and he chose to do so-(remember in 08 when the industry was just showing signs of drought)

That said the Ilmor710, the drive and a majority of the driveline parts in that boat came right from Teague.
Bob delivers on his warranty with no BS, and both Eric and Bob both take great care of me as a client.

Yeah everyone at TCM has always been great and a first class company to deal with. Sorry to the OP, I kind of got this thread off topic lol.

Yes Chris it is the 29 from Tahoe. Real nice guy... he has two with twins. The yellow one with twin 600's is his latest and he said he would sell the 2000 with 500's but he is not advertising.

As far as the 2001 with the Teague plucked.... I thought 35k was high also. Told him I was thinking 20-25k and I didn't get a response. This boat is probably going to the bank! Curios to see where it will pop up next.

Still planning on a new built 29 once my boat goes away. This will be my last boat and I want it right.

Love my 29' full cabin now that I put a SCX on it last Winter. The XR does not belong on a boat this size IMHO. This Winter the Whipple!!

Nice but when you have a decent 500hp motor/drive...and all that is needed + labor +++ - Way too much $ into it.
Nice project for someone who owns all that is needed and can do the work themselves.

I agree as GAZ can relate for what he bought his boat for with a HP 500 EFI. Also some others here sold 2003 and 2004 29's with HP 525 for 50 K lake turn key ready.

dependable motor, new exhaust set up , drive (hold up to hp), prop testing / props and possible delivery expenses and not counting labor is still 22k bare min. Sorry Bullet had to chime in.

Is the helm hydraulic or cable steering on that end ?

If this had a 525 w/ an XR it might bring 55k. Saying this as you all know throw in another 20-30k (75-85k) and there is some great hardware out there for that money. Hope to see this boat floating again!!

I am fortunate that way. I grew up wrenching on everything. starting with my minibikes , motorcycles, hot rod cars, airplanes, boats ect.. If it wasn't for being able to do the work myself I would probably have missed out on a lot of motorized fun!

+1

I'll give BullittCustoms some props though, they always seem to get a hold of nice clean MCOBs on the auction circuit. I've never seen a boat that they have listed that was not in very good condition. I know they are gonna have a hard time moving it at that price, it took me a year to move my 29 with a full 525/XR package, and at that price they're just not enough people looking for that specific type of boat that even exist anymore.
