I was in Rogers shop today, his boat still kicks ass today, its fun to watch go by a fountain with blowers in the 90,S. The motors that are in that boat are the same engines that were raced in the boat he built, called the Equilizer or as most people know it the Spirit boat, what a great boat I had the pleasure of being on it alot in the 80's,on the beach one day racing the next, won three races that I now of.

I'd love to see more shots of that boat. How do those big blocks fit in there?

Yeah....my small blocks are tight.....I can't imagine big blocks.

I'm also wondering.....it looks like he doesn't have some huge hatch........it looks fairly low profile?

I went by Rogers shop today he was happy to hear, that all of you were talking about the old days, he really misses them.I don't know if you guys know it but Roger lost his Son this year, its been hard on him but he is doing well,he really likes reminiscing the old days, and always has a great story of racing the boats and things he learned and built to make them faster, alot of it you would be surprised to know how much we use today in boating, and it came from that bay and the professor.Speed master drives, spacers for drives, taking the flex out of a bottom to make it lift the hook !!!!
I will take more pics of his boat ,and I told him he has to be in one,he says he's going to retrier soon and totally restore his boat. He also told me he heard that Magnum has his old boat Jolly Roger. Rumor has it!!
