I'm not sure if you guys are interested but here are two 27 Mags my friends owned, one of which is the 27 sedan that got me started in offshore boating. They were in Erie more than LSC but I've been on both in Erie, LSC and Huron. A few times to the hydro races anchored by the pump station.

Both were really clean ... the 1974 sedan Miss B Haven had SBC's with Volvo 270's I think. Ran in some really rough water at times and went to Mackinaw Island once.

Here is the 1978 (I think) Starfire with TRS and around 450-500 HP big blocks .... fast boat for the day. He ended up removing the name and painted the deck white.

I believe you're right Mark......they're both single engines too.

I think I asked Roger Munn about that boat?.......but I've lost track!

There was a blue Starfire that was on the Black River at Metro Beach from 1978 to around 1982 was this it ?? That Starfire was the first one I ever saw, it hardly ever came off the hoist. From the exhaust sound you new it had big block power. That red Sedan looked great, it's a shame that many of the Sedans have not been kept up like the Sports have.

Very likely, my friend bought it around 1984 and moved it to Toledo Beach Marina for awhile, then he moved it up to the Clinton River I think. I think he sold it around 1988 ish ... no idea where it went. Very solid boat with great acceleration .... much more solid than the Sedan was. It looked great with the white deck .... funny story .... he put a head in it so you could sit in the hatch opening on the head. He never heard the end of that with the guys! endless jokes
