I would highly recomend them if you need your boat hauled. We were going to float her over to our hoist, but after seeing how big she realy is we blocked her at the marina. Now the electrical & mechanical fun will begain !!!
And the fun begain, but there was more damage to this boat than first thought. Two of the 3 engines were 482cu mercs, the other was a two bolt 40 over 454 that had not run in years. The 482's were not much better. They quit running long before the storm hit. Having to build 3 new engines and transmissions [they were junk too] was more work than my brother wanted to do [me too]. To the rescue Len from Millennium marine here on Lake St Clair, he is building up 3 complete 454cu, 420hp powertrains for this old girl. This Cary wave crusher will most likely just be run around 25 to 35 mph for most of its life so this package should be just fine. More current pic's to come !!! One more surprise she a 43' not a 45' ........

Jeff they were B W 72 velvet drives, now two will be rebuilt and one new one. The Arneson's look ok have not done the math on the ratio, but I would think around 1:50 by the size of the props.

Jeff,
Mark walked me through the museum archives the other day, all 40yrs of stuff that needs to go, besides it will pay for that new 27' boat that he just bought I recall him mentioning it was built on 188 st. in Miami by some famous boat racer or something like that, But for the life of me I cannot recall the name of the manufacturer at this time

Lenny (http://www.millennyummarine.com) has his hands full, but they are in good hands, besides they were starting to stink up my barn

Jeff, Actually I think I will kind of miss them, Did you know Holley Dominator carburators make an ideal holder for a 12oz LaBatt Blue can, I do.
