I think putting stars on the numbers takes awa from the awesome job you did on the logo?

The ones on the rendering are kinda big so yea, they do pull away a bit. I only put them on becaus the ones on Buds had them. I think the smaller ones can work anywhere in moderation. Its just a neat little tool that has its place but yea i agree may not be right for this graphic.
