Thanks Man

Last sat. we had a show race here in the archipelago of Stockholm. Some nice boats at the "grid". 5000 NT Supercat 2x1900 turbines, 38 Fountain 700SCi's, Amt cat, couple of Batboat 28's etc... And we..
We just decided to join in a minute before start.. that's why I went like this:
(Tomas Wallin, Pantera, rigs the POV.-cam..)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Shn23PQnQ3E

And @ "race", before the killswitch ends all the fun..
http://www.youtube.com/user/tommmas1.../0/ch2gg7USUHA

But this was a very fun ride and I did never WOT it, just 4800-5100rpm and +90mph at this vid's.

As far as i know, Roger Munn and Walter Salkewicz had the fastest 27 Magnums around in the late 70's topping out around 86-87 mph.

That's one of the main thing what I love with my boat. Then how its handle in flat and rough sea.

But still, the fastest 27 Sport?

Magnum-Mark, I know you think it should be 24 deadrise!!

Thanks

Mange,

I thought about that comment directed to me, Real Magnum guys, after having boated in a Magnum Sport with twin BBC for 19 years, I think I qualify as a Real Magnum guy. With that said, I mentioned your Arrow bottom design was similar to that of a Phantom (Sarasota, FL based builder). Look at the design of your bottom and that of a Phantom that I posted below. You are a good dude and I like you (what you post), but other than you deck, and the similarity (Magnum) ends there. Your boat has deck of a 27' Sport and bottom design of a Phantom, and I like that combination, you have one helluva boat. Not the best photo comparison, not identical, similar yes. I was just minimally insulted by the real Magnum guy statement...I am over it.

Hi Smarty,

I think we have some missunderstanding here. Sorry if I got you wrong there. First I have to say I am no "Real Magnum guy". But I am sure you are like some of the other good guys here at the Magnum-section It's fun when you say Arrow bottom is pretty much simular to the 34 Phantom. First time when I saw the canopie 34 Phantom I said to my self it reminds me of the Arrow pad/step
I must say the 34 Phantom are one of my favorite boats and if you going to sell one day I have to check my account.

Take care
Mange

I am pretty sure there will be a 90+ mph single 27' sport if I ever get it done.

Jeff, Nice color and grahpics on the Magnum, was this the result of
your colaboration w/Glassdave? ~ Nice lines!
Is that a Starfire deck? the freeboard appears higher than a
sport.

Glassdave design on graphics. I did everything on the engine.

700hp +- depending on top rpms and timing/ fuel octane

Very nice looking motor Boat looks nice too. If 700hp will take you to 85-90mph in that classic then I have to do my home work better. I have seen 96 with my Arrow with aired pad and 875hp. Looking forward to your testing thanks/Mange
