Guys,
Not looking to make any money just share the passion, info, fun, and knowledge! Pictures do not do this dash justice! Finished the backing material today to bring dash to original thickness give or take a few thousandths. Material is a plastic engraving material in teak. Backing is just a composite wood. holes are cut to drawing specs. See attachments. Can't wait to drill and chamfer screw (mounting) holes and transfer gauges over from the old dash.

it's that "none came with the boat"................Bud has helped me in resourcing alot of the original deck hardware and I've found alot of stuff on my own, but the insert (dash panel) is
still needed.........I do have the console though. I wasn't sure if the dash inserts on some magnum models were comparable (Maltese & Sport) but looking at your diagram above
looks to be the same.....mine measures...... 9" X 14-1/2" X 3/4" thick........................Your boat looks great & shows all the well appointed love!..............hope to be there someday.

Scip,
Post a photo of your dash if you can. I really think this thing is what you need. Slap some Teleflex Heavy Duty gauges in (these were the originals on my boat and installed in 1974!). They are awesome and very period correct. 2 Tachs, 2 oil pressure, 2 voltmeters, 2 temp gauges and your dash is done. Let me figure out what I have into the dash part and I'll shoot you a price, happy to make one for you.

Jeff.....I removed the dash because it was in the way of doing a new bulkhead and cockpit sole, but i'll hang it back in position with some clamps and post a pic this weekend.

Hey guys,
Got the dash done finally and the carpets installed. Still not satisfied! The more you do the more you want to do! So its on to the side panels, may as well freshen them up to match everything else! So I am calling once again on the wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm here to help on a source for the 1" heat pleated vinyl used in the early 70's. Anybody seen this stuff or maybe know of a vintage upholstery shop? Any help very much appreciated. Thanks again and hope to see you in Michigan this year at Old School reunion. If i can ever be of help to anyone we are here to try and help!

Hi Jeff, please remember that I live in England, so what ever I find and buy has around 3500 mile to travel for delivery.
Like you I wanted the 1" pleated vinyl for my restoration and found it on the roll in white at Marine surplus Sarasota whilst on vacation in Florida 2 year back.
I was also told that the Boston Whalers also still use 1" Pleated vinyl today. I did have the name of a retailer again in Sarasota for this material in an old notebook, I will look for it tonight and let you know.
The boat is looking great and sure worth the effort.

Thanks Tom and Ian. Ian appreciate the info and effort. Look forward to getting the number of the retailer in Florida. I am still searching and I will let everyone know what we find. Got to have the 1", but could be challenging. If you find some in England I may have to come over and pick it up!
