Green wire is to parallel switch.
Black is to ground

both 16 gauge and on liitle posts of solenoid.

Two red wires are two the "both" position on the battery selectors and then to the large posts on the solenoid.
these are 10 gauge.

It seems to be working and most importantly so does everything else that was working before! LOL

I can hear it clicking and both side still turn over. Hard to tell if it is boosting cranking amps as all batteries are fully chatged.

What do you think?

Thanks again,

Jeff
Jeff sorry about not responding sooner I was out on Mikes boat Sunday. The # 10 wire might be a little light If I remember they ran a regular battery cable to the switch on each side. Mark

Bud
I drilled two holes toward the aft I lowered
In this way the water flows into the bilge
The boat riding is a show!

Mark,

Do you think they came in from the back, underneath through the wall and then up to the side posts? I just don't remember seeing them. I only had to replace this solenoid once in 35 years and I just can't recall. Of course of the hundreds of pictures I have I never took one of the solenoid. Wire size aside does the set up look correct?

Thanks mark. Hey next time you see Mike tell him I said hello!

That looks right for a Maltese. On sports Magnum used a piece of plywood cut out in a U shape with the switch mounted on it. It was then screwed to the center stinger, It did not look very good but worked.

Very very nice Jeff, great job. Pity we don`t live closer to each other we could start a refurb shop based on passion, what`s cash when it comes to rebuilding a Magnum !!!

All the Best

Seeing there is a growing # of Magnum aficionados in the States doing it right, Ian you need to move here. Good luck to your son and Jeff on the race this weekend. Bud
